Law

Law is the set of enforced rules under which a society is governed. Law is one of the most basic social institutions-and one of the most necessary. No society could exist if all people did just as they pleased without regard for the rights of others. Nor could a society exist if its members did not recognize that they also have certain obligations toward one another. The law thus establishes the rules that define a person's rights and obligations. The law also sets penalties for people who violate these rules, and it states how government shall enforce the rules and penalties. However, the laws enforced by government can be changed. In fact, laws frequently are changed to reflect changes in a society's needs and attitudes.
Law is a system of rules and guidelines which are enforced through social institutions to govern behavior. Laws are made by governments, specifically by their legislatures. The formation of laws themselves may be influenced by a constitution (written or unwritten) and the rights encoded therein. The law shapes politics, economics and society in countless ways and serves as a social mediator of relations between people.
A general distinction can be made between civil law jurisdictions (including Canon and Socialist law), in which the legislature or other central body codifies and consolidates their laws, and common law systems (including Islamic law), where judge-made binding precedents are accepted. In some countries, religion may inform the law. for example in jurisdictions that practice Islamic law, Jewish law or Canon law.

Early to Campaign,Early to Win!

          Early means punctual.
Being punctual is a good attitude, but it is not that good all the time.Sometimes other people think being too much punctual is what you called “OA”, that’s why the many of the government employees or even not can classified as “OA” because,of the premature campaign that they are doing right now!
http://www.google.com.ph/search?=premature+campaign&oq=premature+campaign&gs
Anti-epal bill is a good answer for those who use their names in campaigning but using the money of the others, who work hard for it for their family to be able to survive, using innocence people like children, old ones, poor people and may more,so that,
the people who saw their projects and plans will vote them.(sure win!)
Why don't they believe in their own talent and knowledge instead of using innocence people?
Believe in your residences because they know more who had much powers to change our community and make a brand new start!
Aim high for the position you to get!

Ibalik Si Inang Kalikasan

Warning of Global Warming

http://www.google.com.ph
Global Warming is one of the most talked and campaigned about issues of the 21st century. We all know that it is an undeniable fact that while the world population is increasing, the pollution is also increasing in a larger ratio. Many countries successfully implemented “Green” policies, to protect our environment and our future. Recycling garbage, plastic, and even old appliances belongs to the strict regimen. Other policies such as fines imposed on littering, burning of waste or leaves, and even the encouragement of collective transportation have been imposed.

Unfortunately, the Philippines cannot brag about any environmental policies in any way. It is indeed true that a Waste Management Act has been implemented, yet if we look at our everyday lives; the sad reality comes crushing down on us Filipinos. We barely care for our environment. We see wrappers all over what should have been a green environment. We see people burning their garbage in their homes and on the streets. We even love to shower ourselves with the abundance of fresh water, which could have been saved. All of these things do not really imply that the Philippines is really affected by global warming (which it is in fact, but more of that later), rather it seems that Philippines plays a big role as a contributor in global warming.

The Philippines could even cease to exist because of global warming, because once the sea level has risen a couple of meters, even our highest mountains may not be high enough anymore to sustain a whole country.

Go Save and Love the Mother Earth

Our planet earth is now  indanger,  It is now polluted due to man’s own carelessness and negligence to his own environment. As been observed, garbage are being scattered everywhere,We can see a lot of it on the streets, canals, pathways, or even around the school campus.  Aside from that, there is also the continuous rise of global warming, We can feel its hazardous effects through the unprecedented changes of the weather.  Even the bountiful rivers and lakes are also polluted,if We help to clean our environment we can reduce the problem like polluted areas like  Metro Manila. Being a part of this society, we are also affected by the harmful and devastative effects of our own irresponsible response to our environment.  Floods and destructive landslides are just some of these harmful effects of our uncaring ways to our environment. These show how irresponsible we are.  And who do you think will suffer?  Are we not the ones to suffer also?Well, we are the ones who will soon suffer if this worsening pollution continues,As early as now, let us therefore start to stop and lessen the pollution of our environment
https://www.google.com.ph/

Being student writers, we can make some ways on how to save our environment and at the same time, protect our Mother Earth.  Indeed, we can make it through capus journalism.  We are inspired to write informative articles regarding the proper caring and handling of our own environment.  By this way, our readers will soon come to realize their own mistakes; hence they shall now start to change their uncaring ways to our environment.  Through journalism, we may be able to promote for environmental awareness.  Through our written articles, we may also warn other citizens not to worsen the continuous destruction of our environment.

Go and Save The Mother Earth

Environment is very important.  Especially trees, it is used for many things like constructing houses,  buildings, furniture, figurines and other things.  You can get fruits from them.  Trees are very useful to people.  But many people abuse our environment, cut trees, litter garbage anywhere. People who abuse environment does not care about their surroundings.

The 3 R’s are namely Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. These are only few ways to take care of the environment. Reduce means to lessen garbage. Reuse means to use things that are still durable. Recycle is just like reusing . But in recycling, you make another things from a used one.

Everyone can help take care of our environment, young or old. We can protect our Mother Earth by just simply picking up the pieces of garbage you see and throw it to proper trash bins or planting trees in our surroundings.

Our Mother Earth is becoming more dirty everyday that is why we do things that can help bring back the environment of the past. The Earth's ozone layer now is becoming flimsy thin. Typhoons are often striking our place and brings many disaster. Cutting trees and not replacing is a bad manner because when there are less trees, flash floods are most likely to happen.

The modern technology nowadays is very useful that is why we should use it for the things that are worth it. Like campaigning "Clean and Green" online, encouraging people to help save Mother Earth, supporting tree planting and other things that involves the environment.

Legal loggers can cut many trees as long as they want but they need to replace the trees twice the number of the trees they cut down so we could prevent the floods. But of course, the loggers should not abuse it.
The mountains then are very high and there are plenty of plants and trees. But now, there are few mountains that are getting lower and lower, plants and trees are getting fewer and fewer.

In-Pictures-Philippines-Floods
We have natural resources that are being destroyed by calamities, and of course it is natural. But when people are the one who destroys our natural resources then it is not good because people are the one responsible for God's gift and we should protect it.

How can we prevent flash floods? By helping clean the blocked rivers and canals. By planting trees; roots of the trees absorb the water so when there are heavy rains, the water directly goes into the roots of the trees and it automatically prevents flash floods.

Protect the environment and save the world. The next generation needs it. They just can't search and look at the pictures online and imagine the world very clean before their generation.  Cutting trees, throwing garbage anywhere and other unpleasant things we do to our surroundings are bad because it is God’s gift and it is a blessing.

In today's time, many people want to lead our nations for their personal or for other people's sake. Many government officials is taking lead in our nation but their are some bureaucrat that has bad intention in their positions. Some used their name or position to take advantage to the other people and to their businesses.

By in our time, many are corrupt but not all the public servants are fraudulent in their true identity. There are some want to lead our country to a good direction. One of this is Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago. She is the one to warn many government authorities to stop doing premature campaigns. These are the words that senator Miriam say " What is premature campaign? Premature campaign is the early advertising of one's candidate for being an official.

According to the Commission on Election the dismantling of pictures, banners, or images posted by the government officials are allowed until he or she didn't file his candidacy. The Republic Act 9369 or the Poll Automation Law, a person who files his candidacy for the said position shall be contemplate as a candidate at the start of the campaign period.

In my opinion, those public official that want to serve the people of the Philippines should be a good model for today and next generation. As the famous quote say "A god leader is a good follower" this quote should be observe and followed. Like our president today as he always say to his state of the nation address " kayo ang boss ko". In that phrase that President Aquino always say it is related to the quote that I mentioned. Why? As I hear those words I always am thinking that " In our generation today that a lot of government officials are corrupt there are still some filipino people that has a good intentions on our country's prosperity".

http://google.com/images

http://m.abante.com.ph/issue/july2012/27op_edit.htm

What happens before an election of officers? Campaigning, of course! It's the only way you would get known by people and get elected as an officer. There are those who do great things just so people would like them and give them gratitude and their votes. There are those who campaign early and late, too. Those who campaign late have the least probability of getting elected, because not a lot of people know them, unless they have a great idea for a campaign. I'll be elaborating about campaigning early.

Campaigning early, that's a pretty good strategy, but a pretty unfair thing. Early campaigning gets you more popularity, but more enemies. It gives you more face time, but less friends.

I say it's unfair, but in reality, almost every candidate campaigns as early as a year before the actual elections. Even legalists have approved of it and are taking action. they want to make premature campaigning legal and as such, smooths over its flaws. Some of them even says that it's open season, because they aren't exactly saying that they want to win, but just want to get more popular.

http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/files/2012/05
/miriam-santiago.jpg
Other people don't agree, though. For instance, take Senator Miriam Santiago. She will pass the Santiago bill which will interfere with hot-headed candidates who want to campaign a few months earlier than the agreed date. It makes candidates sign a certificate of intent to run for a position six months before the deadline of passing the certificate of candidacy. When this bill gets approved, there shall be no more unfairness.

If you were a perfectly evil guy though, you wouldn't think that it's unfair and you would love the chaos and anger you would be causing for campaigning early. No one sane should ever do that. For the time being, think about it. Is campaigning early alright or is it perfectly unfair?

http://www.google.com.ph

http://www.google.com.ph

Save The Earth

Protecting our world will make it live more years starting from now.

Our world is now in great danger because we are just throwing garbages in somewhere we could place. Even our protection to the earth  ends because of the RH Bill in the Philippines that makes so many childrens so they just throw garbages any where. When our world ends it is because some of us humans are careless to our world. You can see lots of garbages scattered everywhere. We can see them on the streets, canals, pathways or even around the school campus. Yet, do we have any idea where all these stuffs else? Most of our trashes are sent to places called landfills or dump-low areas of land that are filled with nothing , but all sorts of garbage and leftovers. This world has to survive and flourish for the succeeding generations. With this pile of garbage that we keep disposing of, logic would clearly tell us that we are running out of space where we could dump them. Land-fills contain materials which are very hazardous to our health.Aside from that, there is also a continuous rise of global warming which we can certainly notice through the unpredicted changes of the weather. We are running out of time to protect our world because others said today that said the world would end. Other families are now living aside the dump sites. We can still contribute in our own little ways in conserving and protecting our environment.
So are you gonna protect the mother earth or not?

Bill Against Premature Campaigning

Senator Santiago said she would file a bill regarding of the stopping of the premature campaigning of candidates. She said that before filing the certificate of candidacy, the would-be candidates would file CIRPO(Certificate of Intent to Run for Public Office). The candidates would be prevented in the following: Endorsing any product or service, paid or unpaid; accepting any employment in any media outfit as news anchor, writer or talent; buying media space to advertise himself or a product or service, and engaging in any activity that the Commission on Elections (Comelec) considers premature campaigning.Once a person files his certificate, he falls under all the legal prohibitions against premature campaigning,” she said.
On the COMELEC side, Sarmiento said,  Early campaigning is part of candidates' “freedom of expression,” since they have no prohibitions against that, the aspirants can promote themselves before the scheduled campaign starts, since, they are not yet OFFICIAL CANDIDATES. Sarmiento does not agrees with premature campaigning, since it can only benefit those who have many money. Sarmiento recommended the “Anti-Epal Bill”, which would punish those whose FACES are in the big tarpaulins and many ads. Senate Bill No. 1967 seeks to penalize the act of affixing the name or image of any public official to a signage announcing a proposed or ongoing public works project. The bill also directs the Department of Public Works and Highways, the Department of Interior and Local Government, and the Metro Manila Development Authority to remove all existing signages of public works projects bearing the name or image of public officers.“Makakatulong ang anti-epal bill para maregulate natin ang unnecessary media exposure”, Sarmiento said. He added that the bill would level the playing field for both the poor and the resource-rich candidates.

bakit kaya tayo binabaha?

ANTI EPAL BILL

Sarmiento, however, does not agree that candidates should campaign early, since .premature campaigning would benefit only the resource-rich candidates.“Campaigning should be regulated because [early campaigning] favors those who have resources at the expense of the poor but qualified candidates,” Sarmiento said.To regulate the “unnecessary media exposure” of well-off candidates, the commissioner recommended Senator Miriam Santiago’s “anti-epal bill,” which when passed would penalize public officials for posting photos of themselves on their projects or on tarpaulins.Senate Bill No. 1967 seeks to penalize the act of affixing the name or image of any public official to a signage announcing a proposed or ongoing public works project. The bill also directs the Department of Public Works and Highways, the Department of Interior and Local Government, and the Metro Manila Development Authority to remove all existing signages of public works projects bearing the name or image of public officers.“Makakatulong ang anti-epal bill para maregulate natin ang unnecessary media exposure [ng mga kandidato],” Sarmiento said.He added that the bill would level the playing field for both the poor and the resource-rich candidates. The PCSO is moving to support the President’s efforts. Its latest directive on ambulances is a reiteration of the President’s admonition since the start of his administration for politicians to stop putting their names and images on public property, including relief goods. A bill filed by Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago to ban the practice, dubbed “anti-epal” – the Pinoy slang for such politicians – is moving sluggishly through the legislative mill. Old habits are truly hard to break in this country, especially with elections approaching.
The Comelec will just have to devise ways of discouraging premature campaigning. The PCSO, for example, now requires local government units that receive its ambulances to issue a written commitment not to use the vehicles for political purposes.
Disgusted citizens have launched an anti-epal movement on Facebook, but so far, the epal politicians seem unmoved. Brillantes admitted that the Comelec could not compel politicians to show delicadeza. There oughta be a law, but in the absence of one, Brillantes advised the public to remember the names and faces of the epal and forget them on election day 2013. It’s a good advice to take.
